The International Holocaust Remembrance Day – January 27, 2010

Speakers at the event: Massuah’s deputy chairperson, Professor Yitzhak Kashti, Minister of Intelligence and Atomic Energy, Dan Meridor, author Aharon Appelfeld, and the ambassador of Canada in Israel, Mr. Jon Allen.

Summary of event:

Every year Massuah holds a central event marking theInternational Holocaust Remembrance Day for the senior diplomatic corps serving in Israel. This year the event was held in the presence of the Minister of Intelligence and Atomic Energy, the Israel Prize laureate, the writer Aharon Appelfeld, and Massuah’s deputy chairperson Professor Yitzhak Kashti. The ambassador of Canada to Israel, Mr. Jon Allen, spoke at the memorial site at the Massuah museum.

The Moran Choir, conducted by Naomi Faran, took part in the event, as well as the Gewandhous Kinderchor of Leipzig, conducted by Frank-Steffen Elster.

Meirav Michaeli hosted the event.
